Review: Yokozuna - Architecture E-mail

Yokozuna are a London three piece who are influenced by Fugazi, Sonic Youth and Bloody Butchers, amongst others. The band is made up of Chris, Phil and Russell, their individual responsibilities-and it's them that I quote on this-are; ‘Russell - Arms and Legs, Phil - Thud and boom/support shouting, Chris - Twang and strum/main hollerin'. Album Review: The Scratch - Whatever Happened to Friday Night? E-mail

Something wicked this way comes. I am fairly certain that had The Scratch been around at punk rock prime time, they would have given the likes of The Buzzcocks and The Who a jolly good run for their money. It has been some time since this more classic style of punk rock has graced the airwaves, and I think that really, it's about time. Make way for The Scratch, a five piece hailing from St. Albans who, since their debut in 2003, have really known how to make some noise.

When a band has been going since their early school days, you just know that their ever-growing energy (with a side order of passion) is going to erupt into something that is really quite good. Hailing from Royston, Rotating Leslie are a five-piece whose love of music has kept them together all this time - and thank goodness for that.

Wowser - Scotland really seems to be the sparkling hotbed for new talent these days, demonstrated very nicely indeed by up-and-coming Glaswegian gems, There Will Be Fireworks. Just the band name alone simply screams cool, but just wait until you hear the product.
