The intro sounds like it could be your very own theme tune, totally cool and arrogance infusing, it then throws you in at the deep end with its catchy guitar riff, strong vocals, and funky base line. A 70's rock influence is clear throughout, however the Zalinski boys have attempted to fuse this sound with elements of folk and their own unique sound. The result being a cheeky, cheery slice of indie pop. Andrew Lee Bowen is the main man responsible for the band; formerly from the band ‘Jester' he is the lyricist and lead singer of Zalinski. Originating from Neath in the Welsh Valleys, he decided to introduce his style of music onto the London scene and that's when Zalinski were born. Mark Sepple was recruited as drummer bringing along his friend Sam Bunting to be the bassist. Karl Golden finishes the line up as lead guitarist. The first outing for Zalinski as a band was July 2007 at a festival in aid of the Rainbow Trust Children's Charity. Having only practiced for the first time together as a band three days previous to the event, they amazingly still went down a storm. Following a few months or relentless studio session Zalinski are now breaking out onto the London music scene with vengeance with A&R scouts already hot on their tails. Listen to If I...
