![]() Take some vocals, a little bit of pop (some voxpop, if you will), and then add a sprinkle of loveliness and what do you get? A concoction that makes up some of today's finest pop, no less. Having formed in January of last year in the ever-so musically vibrant London town, this fabulous four-piece began to gig back in November and so have already had the chance to wow many a crowd. And just on a side note, be sure to keep your eyes peeled this summer for more performances; they're sure to be headed our way.
A metrical and sprightly specimen of a debut, The Boomerang Generation offers a hopeful and uplifting melody that could quite easily fit into a movie's opening sequence. Brimming with charming vocals, toe-tapping beats and melt-worthy melodies, VOXPOP have succeeded in creating something to rival the classic sounds of The Las and The Jam - think There She Goes meets That's Entertainment, with an extra bit of added frivolity thrown in for good measure. The track simply breezes through a fine example of how to successfully blend the refreshing with the refined. A particular mention should go to that nice little piano bit near the end, where the vocals kick in followed by the drums and ... oh, it is the catchiest thing EVER. I for one will certainly have this tune stuck in my head all day, that's for sure ... "I believe a change will come" - and indeed they speak the truth; look out because here come VOXPOP
