![]() Ka-ting! Perhaps the title of this track is itself alone a wonderful way to describe the shiny new sound of Super Cute Voices. Fresh, innovative and totally electric, this Welsh new-waving duo have created something that can only really be described as a fabulous lo-fi frenzy. With a sprinkling of synth on a totally high voltage, for only two people Super Cute Voices manage to make an awful lot of solid sound.
Brimming with electric pizzazz, the unique sound of KaTING! demonstrates precisely what I mean by ‘high voltage’. Its distinctive ambiance and use of sound effects quite closely resemble the quick and nimble sounds of video game music – in a good way, of course. Although perhaps a little repetitive at times, this only adds to its charm in a way that it allows the track to become oodles catchier than anything else currently available to the musical ear. In a nutshell, this is a track that makes a statement through shockwaves.
