When a band has been going since their early school days, you just know that their ever-growing energy (with a side order of passion) is going to erupt into something that is really quite good. Hailing from Royston, Rotating Leslie are a five-piece whose love of music has kept them together all this time - and thank goodness for that.
A clear reflection of the band's sense of fun, the alternative concoction of indie splendour that is The Beatless is sure to have your toes a-tappin'. With a particularly snazzy chorus, full of beautiful tones, unique sounds and super vocals, the track is a blend of all things good. Its slow, chant-like ending is a breeze of something fresh, showing a different side to what these boys are capable of. To get a taste of their calibre, bear in mind that they have in fact been touring with White Lies, Black Lips and Cage the Elephant. With gigs cropping up nationwide over the coming months, Rotating Leslie seem to have more than what it takes to make a name for themselves within the competitive indie scene, and with such great riffs and great beats, what more could you possibly ask for? They are almost certain to be big news this summer - watch out, festivals. Be sure, as well, to check out their exceptionally lovely MySpace page and have a look to see what other treasures they have to offer. Presenting a track that is far, far from beatless, please welcome Rotating Leslie - I think they just might be here to stay.
