Review: KunK - No Way/Game Over E-mail

Fresh on the scene of the fine city that is Norwich, please welcome Kunk. Having graced the same stage as fellow alt-rockers such as The Subways and Nine Black Alps, this thrilling threepiece have already made quite a name for themselves in the world of rock'n'roll.

both tracks give off this raw, fresh energy that is well on its way to alt-rock perfection.
I myself have actually had the pleasure of seeing the band in action last year as support act to The Subways, at the mighty University of East Anglia LCR. Let me tell you, it is undeniable that the band's new double A-side single ‘No Way/Game Over' reflects the true energy that I saw on stage that October night.

Even the band's compelling name warns that these nifty Norfolkians are a force to be reckoned with. It comes as no surprise then, that both tracks give off this raw, fresh energy that is well on its way to alt-rock perfection. No Way displays a classic yet new take on the well-loved guitar riff. As for its sister track, Game Over is similar in this sense but only in a way that establishes their unique, signature sound. Oh and by the way, the riffs on the latter track are neater than neat - please do not miss out on this tasty treat for the ears.

It's definitely worth mentioning how, already, Kunk have had their tracks featured on US MTV shows such as The Real World which is quite a feat for such fresh faces to the music scene, I'm sure you will agree. The trio are studio-bound at present, and have announced that they hope to release a full album in 2010. Well, if these two tracks are anything to go by then I am certain that 2010 will have something kind of special in store. In the meantime though, No Way/Game Over is available for purchase - so what are you waiting for?
