Picture yourself as the star of a sprightly and whimsical film, drenched in a summer time of merry tomfoolery. The music you hear? That is the sound of Isosceles; a gaggle of Glaswegian fellows whose musical delicacies lend themselves quite nicely to a scorching summer soundtrack.

just the sort of thing you could do with to further brighten a delightful summer’s day.

With this double A-side release on the way, as well as a storming gig schedule under their belts (you should really check it out - it is an absolutely enormous schedule), it is no wonder as to why Isosceles have been tipped to be the ‘next big thing'. Managing to maintain a sound that is both classic and innovative, the band's lively presence is painted for us through their tracks in a way that predicts what can only be an absolute blinder of a performance when live and loud. The first track Kitch Bitch is just one example of this, with its endearing lyrics and entirely juiced ambiance. Guitar mayhem-a-plenty, this track is just the sort of thing you could do with to further brighten a delightful summer's day. Upon closer listening you will notice the lyrics - and here may I point out particularly the mention of the digestive biscuit - totally infused with an air of British charm.

Speaking of which, the lovely Britishness of the vocals in terms of accent (provided by all four members of the band), sparkles especially in the second track of their double A-side release, Watertight. Kicked off with a delectable drum intro, the track simply melts into a pulsating blend of sharp rhythm and soothing vocals. The important thing to mention here is how the classic vibe present in both tracks indicate the workings of a band that have serious potential to stay put. The record label of ‘art-goes-pop' under which Isosceles have placed themselves is a perfect way of describing the band's quaint yet sophisticated sounds. A refreshing change from all things equilateral, Isosceles have something that is most certainly here to stay.
