Interview: Cactusk

Cactusk are a band that hail from Ann Arbour in Michigan and comprise of two members called Matt. Now this is not as usual as it seems as in 1871 the Senator of Michigan Matthew Matthewson passed a bill that demanded that all the men of the state should change their name to Matt and any new born male should be christened likewise. It is unsure why this happened but it was thought that the Senator was terrible with names and this was the best way to get around the problem. Of course none of this is true and it happens to be a coincidence but that would have just been a boring explanation now wouldn't it?

A giant plum. A giant bruised plum. With a wasp in it.

What's your favourite word?
Really. It's "Bollocks". I'm not trying to be funny and "rock stary" for the interview. My favourite word is "Bollocks".
Muffs.....do you like to keep your hands warm in them?
Are you trying to get me to use some kind of sexual inuendo here? Because i refuse to rise! I use fingerless woolen gloves that have these little mitten covers for cold times. They lay velcrowed to the tops until needed. Rather clever. I use them often as i live in Michigan. Which is a bit like South Park. Fucking freezing.

Fancy Dress? - What shall I go as?
A giant plum. A giant bruised plum. With a wasp in it.

An anagram of Santa is Satan, your thoughts on this?

Wasn't Father Christmas green until Coco-Cola(TM) got their rich little mits on him? Then they made him red. Santa is a twat. I wouldn't even put him close to our dark lord. Satan is a dude. He gets a hard wrap, man.

What is the best gig you have ever seen?
That's a tough one. So many great gigs and all so different in exellence. It'd probably have to be The Pixies a few years back. I never got the chance to see them the 1st time round so it was a real treat when they reformed. The Wiggles live at the London Stadium in Greenwich was good. Also, a band called Chet, in London a few months back really blew my scrunts off. Shame it was their last ever gig and they were splitting up though.
It is a known fact that aliens conduct experiments on humans and violate them. In what way would you like to violate an alien?
Intrude into his personal life. Chinese whispers and slander. Lies and gossiping. Really get his goat and upset him. And tell girls he has a tiny cock.

What is the best novelty Christmas song ever?
No Presents This Christmas by King Diamond. A true holiday classic for all the family!
What are the voices in your head saying to you right now?
Nowt. They just nipped down the shop for a 12 pack of beers and some Beef Jerky, but i'll ask them for you when they get back, if you like.

If you could summarise your life so far in one word what would that word be?
"Bollocks".
Are you at the point of no return?
Not really. But then, it's not hard to return to being a drunk ass, dole bludging, sofa surfing, homeless saddo is it?
